Exclusive community care for pregnant mothers and school children at Gangarama
On the occasion of the 77th birthday of respected Chandra Wijenayake, H. T. A special social hosting program organized by the full fund donation of Dr. Priyantha Kalpage, the head of S(HTS) Group Movement and Gayani Nisansala, was held on yesterday (06) at Gangarama Temple, Colombo.
The Community Police Unit at Companga Street Police Station had given its full support to this program organized by Sri Jinarathana Monk Exercise College organized under Gangarama Temple. In this charity, which was done for public welfare, making the Community Police concept further meaningful, provided essential equipment and nutrition bags to 100 pregnant mothers, and distributing school equipment kits to 300 school children.
For this occasion, the great Sangharatna including the Lord of Gangarama Temple and the residents of Malwathu Viharade Revata, Dr. Olukarade Revtha Swamy, were grown. Respected Chairman of Police Services Vanita Unit, Advocate Nita Nilmini Samaratunga as Chief Guest of the program, Deputy IG Roshan Rajapakshe in charge of Community Police and Environment Protection, Director of Community Police Division, Senior Police Officer D. K. Mr. Priyantha and Mr. Manoj Perera, Senior Police Officer of Environment Protection Department attended.
The participation of Mr. Kalasuri Sanjaya Leelarathna and officers including the Colombo Central Division Community Foundation and representatives of Sri Jinarathana Bhikshu Vidyalaya was also special here.
