Person Missing After Boat Capsizes in Eravur
Investigations have been launched following a complaint lodged by the brother of a young man who went missing after a boat capsized in the Kaluwankeni area of Eravur on 28.01.2026.
The missing individual is a 21-year-old resident of Kaluwankeni. He is reported to have drowned when the boat he was travelling in overturned.
Officers of the Eravur Police have initiated search and rescue operations to locate the missing person, and further investigations are currently underway.
