Drug trafficker involved in numerous murders – Police
- A suspect who is detaining and conducting investigation on detention orders has been revealed to multiple homicides.
- A revolver weapon manufactured in a foreign country has been found based on information received from the suspect.
A suspect who was arrested by the Mitiagoda Police Station on 2025.12.24 in connection with drug trafficking is currently being detained at the Mitiagoda Police Station on detention orders and further investigations will be conducted.
In questioning the suspect by investigation officers, it has also been revealed that the suspect is currently in relationships with several organizational criminals abroad and has acted as the shooter of the following crime cases.
• 2024.03.11 Two people killed and injured three others by a T56 type firearm at Ambalangoda police domination
• Two people shot dead by a T56 type firearm at Mitiagoda police district on 2025.05.03.
• Human killing by shooting at Mitiagoda police domination on 2025.11.28.
Another suspect residing in Ambalangoda area, 28-year-old, who encouraged aid for the double homicide in Ambalangoda police domination on 2025.12.27 has been arrested by investigation officers.
In further questioning by the suspect, a revolver type weapon manufactured in a cemetery in Rathgama area has been taken into police on 2025.12.27. Further investigations will be conducted by Mitiagoda police.
