President’s Fund Disburses Financial Assistance to Disaster-Affected Schoolchildren
The disbursement of a Rs. 10,000 financial assistance grant from the President’s Fund to schoolchildren affected by the Ditwah cyclone has now commenced.
The relevant financial allocations have been released to all District Secretariats and this assistance will be provided to all schoolchildren who previously received the Rs. 15,000 relief grant issued by the government.
Accordingly, as announced by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake during the presentation of the most recent national budget, each disaster-affected schoolchild will receive a total financial assistance of Rs. 25,000.
