Parliament Approves Three Civil Society Members to Constitutional Council
Parliament today approved the motion moved by Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, pertaining to the appointment of three new non-Members of Parliament to the Constitutional Council.
The motion was moved by the Prime Minister for the approval of Parliament in accordance with Articles 41A (4) and (5) of the Constitution.
Accordingly, Parliamentary approval was granted for Austin Fernando, Professor Wasantha Seneviratne and Ranjith Ariyaratne as non-Members of Parliament to the Constitutional Council.
