Navy renders assistance for successful conduct of Centennial Anniversary of the coronation of Our Lady of Madhu

The feast of the Shrine of Madhu in Mannar, celebrating the Centennial Anniversary of the coronation of Our Lady of Madhu, was held under the patronage of His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo on 02nd July 2024. The Sri Lanka Navy facilitated the proceedings of the event, for the convenience of devotees.

Following the supervision of Rear Admiral Damian Fernando, Commander North Central Naval Area, naval personnel undertook cleaning and decoration of the shrine premises. Additionally, the Navy ensured the provision of safe drinking water for devotees.

During this occasion, Catholic priests, naval personnel from the North Central Naval Command, security force and police personnel, and a sizable gathering of devotees were in attendance.
