Suspect arrested in connection with vehicle theft
On 2025.10.21 Rs. in Urakasmanhandiya police area Suspect in connection with theft of 8,000,000/= car worth of 8,000/= has been arrested by a group of officers from Urakasmanhandiya Police Station while staying near Kesbawa bus station on 2026.01.28
The arrested suspect is 43 years old, from Urakasmanhandiya – Yattakala area.
During further investigations made with the suspect,
• A three-wheeler stolen in Elbitia police area,
• A three-wheeler stolen in Pathegama police area,
• Reports emerge that he is also filing charges of stealing two motorcycles in the Homakama police area.
Also, when investigation officers went to his home in Yattakala area where he lived to investigate documents of stolen vehicles by the suspect, the ice drug was recovered at 6 grams of 235 mg of the house.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Urakasmanhandia Police Station after the suspect LBT’s honorary judge was highlighted in the court and received detention order.
