Colombo’s inflation climbs to -0.6% in June

Colombo’s overall inflation rate, as measured by the Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) change in the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI), rose slightly to -0.6% in June 2025, compared to -0.7% in May 2025, according to the latest data released by the Department of Census and Statistics.

The Y-o-Y inflation of the Food Group eased to 4.3% in June, down from 5.2% in May. Meanwhile, the Non-Food Group inflation rate improved to -2.8% in June, compared to -3.3% in the previous month.
