MakeMyTrip: Sri Lanka ranks among top picks for Indian travellers

Sri Lanka has emerged as the third most booked international destination for Indian travellers during the festive period, according to a report by online travel platform MakeMyTrip.
The data, based on bookings made for the year-end holiday period, shows the UAE ranked second, followed by Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Malaysia in the top five international destinations booked by Indian travellers.
Sri Lanka’s third-place ranking reflects a steady rebound in tourism, supported by improved connectivity, simplified visa access and increased interest from Indian travellers seeking short-haul destinations.
